I have noticed, that meal prepping can sometimes be boring because you could be making the same thing each week because like me I do not really have a creative mind 😂😂. I only know of a couple of ingredients and use it to the point of it just being boring and I am forcing it down my throat. There are many creative thinkers out there who concocte the most imaginable delicious looking meals.
So I had to delve deep inside that small might of mine and do some lucy (movie) as she was able to use 100% of her brain. I would just like to a least be able to use 20% just to think of something creative for every week. So instagram is a source for everything you can think of, so I watched and watched and studied; I did some witchcraft in my pot mixing and throwing and tying to figure out what goes with what. Finally I found it.
Creamy chicken pasta.
I know I have had chicken pasta but the idea of having something similar to an Alfredo just sounded good and cheese I really do miss it. So this is good for me..
So here are the ingredients for this beautifully created meal for the week.
- 10 slices of bacon chopped
- 2 chicken breast chopped
- I tablespoon of olive oil or rapeseed oil.
- 1 red onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon of garlic
- 1 tablespoon chilli flakes
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 4oz of cream cheese
- 4 cups of water
- 4 cups pasta (fettuccine)
- 1 cup parmesan
First, get a pan and put it on a medium to high heat. Add oil to the pan add the bacon and fry it until golden. Then take it out and add the diced chicken and cook until its cooked, take it out. Drain the oil from the put and add oil onion, garticles, black pepper, chilli flakes and salt sweat the onions and the 4 cups of water and then the cream cheese and let it boil till the cream cheese has disappeared.
Add the pasta, mix it all together then add the bacon and chicken mix together and leave to cook for about 10-15 minute. Before the cooking is over add the parmesan stir add the broccoli.
Add extra parmesan if wanted.
