Bulgar wheat with chicken breast.

I saw this food post on instagram and I liked the look of it, although I have had Bulgar wheat and chicken on numerous occasions I just liked the presentation and thought to change it up a bit. The person used chicken thighs but I prefer sticking to my easy chicken breast.

So I used:

  • Bulgar wheat
  • Chicken breast 
  • Stock 
  • Tomatoes purée
  • Sweet pepper
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper 
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Garilic
  • Olive oil

The sea salt I feel is more salty then normal table salt so I don’t really use a lot. I started off by boiling water to use for the Bulgar wheat I use one cup of Bulgar wheat that can go a long way for me about four days worth of food prep. I season a little and cover and basically forget about it, I used one cup of boiling water.

PSo.  I don’t really like giving measurements because the way everyone measure food is different and I don’t have precise measurements when it comes to making my food. 

Get about two breast chicken and cut them in strips not chunks. Get a pan and add a tablespoon of olive oil, let it heat on a low to medium heat throw in the chicken with the garlic ( I used 3cloves, forget about stinky breathe) and season with a little salt, pepaper (as much as you want) and a dash of cayenne pepper. Cook this through add the stock( 4 table spoons) which I feel always makes the chicken softer and juicier add like two table spoons of tomatoe purée and mix well leave for about 10-15 minutes or rapeseed until it thickens up. 

By this time the Bulgar wheat should be dry. All you have to do now is plate up for the day or for the week.
